3D Development Manager

July 2018–April 2026

  • Led TSC’s 3D Studio: priorities, resource allocation[2], mentoring, recruitment and delivery across concurrent projects.
  • Product Owner and solution architect for Virtual Plant and immersive learning products integrating dynamic simulation, Unity, control-room systems and cloud delivery.[3]
  • Technical and commercial lead for the Siemens COMOS Walkinside reseller relationship.
  • Managed key customer accounts including Halliburton[4], Centrica Storage[5] and Liberty Steel[6], from early opportunities through delivery, support and follow-on work.
  • Led BP’s Walkinside-based Immersive Training Simulator with Siemens and the UKRI-funded Liberty Steel rolling-mill digital twin[6], coordinating simulation, 3D and partner delivery.
  • Supported requirements capture, solution definition, demonstrations, proposals[3] and international exhibitions.[7]

Senior Simulation Engineer

July 2014–July 2018

  • Project Lead and Account Manager for the Centrica Storage full-site Operator Training Simulator: proposals, customer engagement, delivery and support for the UK’s largest natural-gas storage facility.[8]
  • Lead Engineer for the TPS200 Three Phase Separator training system, spanning R&D, equipment and instrumentation selection, PLC programming, SCADA and emergency-shutdown testing, commissioning and customer training.[9]
  • Delivered and maintained international training systems combining field engineering, simulation and automation.[9]
  • Joined TSC’s Sales and Senior Management teams in 2015.

Simulation Engineer

July 2010–July 2014

  • Developed compressor-station and gas-storage simulations commissioned by AMEC, including transmission studies for National Grid, transient response and compressor-surge assessment.[10]
  • Developed pipe-friction and pressure-drop modelling within TSC’s C-based simulation platform, combining fluid mechanics, spreadsheet comparisons and a configurable flow item.[11]
  • Delivered the first Centrica Storage Methanol Recovery Operator Training Simulator, enhancing thermodynamic and fluid-dynamic modelling for binary distillation.[12]

DIS Placement Student

September 2008–approximately October 2009

  • Rebuilt models for the TSC7 generic simulation range from the ground up, using standardised approaches to valves, pumps, vessels and pipes while retaining the original learning objectives.[13]
  • Rebuilt and enhanced natural-gas treatment, separation, compression and process-control simulations with experienced engineers and subject-matter experts.[13]

Education & professional development

  • BEng (Hons) Chemical Engineering, Loughborough University with Placement (DIS), 2006–2010.[14]
