Display preferences

Use the Theme selector in the footer to choose System, Light or Dark. System follows the preference supplied by your browser or device. An explicit choice is remembered on this browser when storage is available. Choosing System removes that override.

The site also follows your reduced-motion preference, supports browser zoom and is designed to remain usable with Windows high-contrast colours. Without JavaScript, it follows your system colour preference and ordinary navigation remains available.

Navigation and content

A Skip to content link appears when you first press Tab. Navigation, theme selection, image galleries and video activation can be operated with a keyboard. Galleries close with Escape and return focus to the image that opened them.

Pages use descriptive headings and image alternatives. Both colour themes are checked for readable contrast. You can enlarge text using your browser without needing a separate accessibility toolbar.

Checks and current limitations

I use automated accessibility rules and browser interaction tests to check the site. I still need to complete a full manual screen-reader review, broader browser checks and assistive-technology testing before I can assess full WCAG conformance.

Project pages include third-party YouTube players and a Google satellite map. I can’t control those services, so I’ve included direct links to the videos and map. Videos load only after activation. I haven’t yet checked captions, transcripts and audio-description coverage across all the project films.

I haven’t completed a full accessibility review of the downloadable CV and research paper PDFs. My HTML CV provides an alternative for career information; I still need to provide an equivalent accessible version of the research paper.
