Engineering learners can see and operate
Physical training equipment brings process behaviour into the classroom. Learners work with actual vessels, instruments, valves and pumps, while a connected software interface provides control-room operation and a view of the process.
My involvement crossed the boundary between equipment and software: PLC programming, SCADA development, OPC integration, wiring, equipment selection and practical fault-finding, alongside customer relationships and learning materials.
Two products, individual stories
TPS200 is the three-phase separator training product. Its case study follows my involvement from early development through international delivery and a series of upgrades to units already in service.
SMC IPC201C is the process-control training unit, with optional bottling and palletising stations. Its case study covers long-term maintenance, restoring a legacy Siemens line, international installation and connecting PLC data to MindSphere.
