Bringing the model into line with the plant
The March–November 2025 project updated the simulator to reflect the actual Easington installation, building on intervening maintenance and changes after the earlier future-design simulator.
Account ownership and testing
I owned the customer relationship and prepared the proposal, supported by the lead simulation engineer for the work breakdown structure and time estimates. My main technical contribution was testing: around six weeks working through operating procedures and testing ESD and DCS trip systems.
I delivered the system and ran acceptance testing jointly with the lead simulation engineer.
